About Me
My name is Geoff Miller, and I am the creator of the Flower Cheerleader’s T-shirt brand. I actually admire the dance skills that professional “woman” cheerleaders possess in that I too share a passion for dance. Even though I have never danced professionally I do enjoy taking dance fitness classes such as Jazzercise and Zumba. I also have a passion for gardening in that some of the flowers seen on these T-shirts were grown in my garden. What better way to cheer on professional "woman" cheerleaders than to wear T-shirts with beautiful flowers on them?
About Flower Cheerleaders
After seeing a documentary called “A Woman’s Work: The NFL’s Cheerleader Problem” I felt inspired to stand in solidarity with professional “woman” cheerleaders. It appears that the working conditions of professional “woman” cheerleaders are rather harsh in that they are given low pay, body shamed, forced to follow strict rules of conduct, and sometimes sexually harassed by football fans. Through this T-shirt brand I essentially want to be a cheerleader for professional “woman” cheerleaders of professional American football. I want to spread a positive message of support for better working conditions for professional “woman” cheerleaders throughout professional American football culture. There are 24 professional American football teams that have professional “woman” cheerleaders. Hence, I created 24 different fictional cheerleading team names for the purpose of supporting each group of professional “woman” cheerleaders. I named each cheerleading team after a different flower found in different parts of the United States. I chose flowers because flowers are known for sparking positive emotions in people as well as create a more inviting atmosphere to any space. Professional American football culture could use some positivity as well as be a more inclusive space especially for women. Imagine if more people wore Flower Cheerleader T-shirts than football jerseys at tailgate parties and football games. These T-shirts could serve as walking billboards and spread a positive message of support for better working conditions for professional “woman” cheerleaders throughout professional American football culture. With enough people wearing these shirts it could possibly change the minds of team owners to treat professional “woman” cheerleaders with respect. My ultimate goal would be to have these fictional cheerleading teams as iconic as football teams. Let’s be cheerleaders and cheer on professional “woman” cheerleaders.
One more thing. Just to clear I am only cheering on professional "woman" cheerleaders. Recently some professional American football teams have added men to their cheer squads. I have nothing against professional male cheerleaders, but there is the possibility that they added men just to deceive the public about not being sexist while continuing to exploit professional "woman" cheerleaders. Also when I mean woman I mean an adult human female with XX chromosomes. Trans women are NOT women.
